Petrol at KSh 226.96 per litre (EPRA, 15 Oct to 14 Nov 2026). Updated 25 Oct 2026.
The Volvo V40 is a premium hatchback, smaller than a saloon and easy to park in town. Most on Kenyan roads have the 1500cc T3 or the gentler 1500cc T2 petrol engine, both with an automatic gearbox. Some earlier cars have a 1600cc T4 petrol with a dual-clutch gearbox. It uses less fuel than any of Volvo's SUVs, which makes it the cheapest Volvo to run. A T3 returns about 14.2 km/L, or KSh 16.00 per km at today's Nairobi petrol price.
