A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Kilolita uses two of its own. It uses Google Analytics cookies only if you accept them, and no advertising cookies.
| Cookie | What it does | How long | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| PHPSESSID | Keeps forms secure (it holds the code that proves a form came from our page) and remembers your result after you add a fuel figure. | Until you close your browser | Strictly necessary |
| kl_town | Remembers the town you chose, so prices and costs show for that town. Set only when you choose a town. | 1 year | Preference |
| kl_consent | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so we do not ask again. | 1 year | Strictly necessary |
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics: tells one visit from another, so we can count visitors. Set only after you accept. | 2 years | Analytics |
Google Analytics cookies are off until you choose Accept, and Reject is just as easy. Kilolita uses no advertising or social media tracking cookies. The share buttons are plain links: WhatsApp, Facebook and X set cookies only if you go to their sites. The services that supply our fonts and layout files (Google Fonts, jsDelivr, cdnjs) do not set cookies through our pages. See our privacy policy for what they receive.
If we ever add advertising that uses cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. If you block PHPSESSID, forms on Kilolita will not work. If you block kl_town, prices show for Nairobi. To change your analytics choice, use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page.
May we use Google Analytics cookies? They count visits and show which pages help drivers. They stay off unless you accept. Cookie policy
