About the Golf

The Volkswagen Golf is a compact five-door hatchback for commuters and families. Most on Kenyan roads are Japanese imports with the 1200cc or 1400cc TSI turbo petrol engine and a seven-speed DSG automatic. The 1400cc uses a little more fuel than the 1200cc. The sporty GTI has a 2000cc turbo and uses clearly more fuel. It uses less fuel than the Tiguan with a similar engine. Expect about 15.1 km/L, or KSh 15.01 per km at today's Nairobi petrol price.
