The Toyota Vitz is a small hatchback for town driving and first-time owners. Most on Kenyan roads have the 1000cc petrol engine, with the 1300cc as the other choice. Both use a CVT automatic and front-wheel drive. Newer 1300cc cars have a more efficient engine and use less fuel than the 1000cc in official tests. The Vitz uses less fuel than bigger saloons such as the Axio. Expect about 15.6 km/L, or KSh 14.59 per km at today's Nairobi petrol price.
