The Ford Ranger is a one-tonne double-cab pickup used for work, farming and family transport. Most on Kenyan roads have the 3200cc five-cylinder turbo diesel or the 2200cc four-cylinder turbo diesel, usually with four-wheel drive. The 2200cc uses clearly less fuel in Ford's figures. The newer Ranger sold by Ford's dealer has a 2000cc turbo diesel. Expect about 8.8 km/L, or KSh 25.99 per km at today's Nairobi diesel price.
