Petrol at KSh 226.96 per litre (EPRA, 15 Oct to 14 Nov 2026). Updated 25 Oct 2026.
The Volkswagen Tiguan is a compact five-seat SUV for families and town driving. Most on Kenyan roads are Japanese imports with the 1400cc TSI turbo petrol engine, a DSG automatic gearbox and front-wheel drive. The 2000cc TDI turbo diesel with all-wheel drive uses a little less fuel in Volkswagen's Japanese figures. The 1400cc uses more fuel than the Golf with a similar engine. Newer Tiguans are also assembled locally for the official dealer. Expect about 11.7 km/L, or KSh 19.34 per km at today's Nairobi petrol price.
