The Mercedes-Benz A-Class is a compact premium hatchback, easy to park and suited to town driving. Most on Kenyan roads have the 1600cc A180 petrol engine, with the stronger 1600cc A200 in some cars. Both use a dual-clutch automatic gearbox and front-wheel drive. The A200 uses a little more fuel than the A180, in return for extra power. An A180 returns about 13.4 km/L, or KSh 16.88 per km at today's Nairobi petrol price.
