The BMW 3 Series is a compact executive saloon with rear-wheel drive, for professionals and families. Most on Kenyan roads have the 320i with a 2000cc turbo petrol and an automatic gearbox. The 320d diesel uses clearly less fuel, and the 318i has a smaller 1500cc engine. In BMW's European figures it uses less fuel than the larger 5 Series.
