Petrol at KSh 226.96 per litre (EPRA, 15 Oct to 14 Nov 2026). Updated 25 Oct 2026.
The BMW X5 is a large five-seat SUV with xDrive all-wheel drive, for families, long trips and rough roads. Imports have a 3000cc six-cylinder turbo engine with an eight-speed automatic: the xDrive35i petrol, or the xDrive35d or xDrive30d diesel. In BMW's Japanese figures the xDrive35i uses about the same fuel as the X6 with the same engine, and clearly more than the X1. Expect about 7.4 km/L, or KSh 30.60 per km at today's Nairobi petrol price.
