About the Alto

The Suzuki Alto is a very small Japanese kei hatchback with four seats, used for town trips. Imported cars have a 660cc three-cylinder petrol engine, mostly with a CVT automatic and front-wheel drive. In Suzuki's Japanese figures it uses clearly less fuel than the Swift and a little less than the Wagon R hybrid. Four-wheel-drive versions use more. The Alto sold new by the official dealer is a different car with a 1000cc engine. Expect about 19.9 km/L, or KSh 11.38 per km at today's Nairobi petrol price.
