The BMW 5 Series is a large executive saloon for business users and families. Most imports are the 523i with a 2000cc four-cylinder turbo petrol and an eight-speed automatic. The 523d has a 2000cc turbo diesel and uses clearly less fuel, and the 530i has a stronger 2000cc petrol. In BMW's Japanese figures it uses more fuel than the smaller 3 Series. Expect about 10.2 km/L, or KSh 22.20 per km at today's Nairobi petrol price.
